What do you think?
You can receive real-time reports (with images or video) about crimes taking place in your neighborhood. You can also use your cell phone to report crimes-in-progress to the Dallas Police Department ... including sending images or video. Just such a crime prevention program could be tested in District 9. Tell Sheffie what you think.
Dallas Recycles
Speaking of District 9 polls...
Several weeks back, Sheffie Kadane asked District 9 residents if they felt like once-a-week garbage collection would be adequate if coupled with once-a-week recycling pick up. Your poll responses may surprise you. Regardless of how you voted, if you do not have a big blue recycling bin, you can order your recycling cart here.
Dallas City Hall
November 10: Big day at Dallas City Hall
On Monday, Nov. 10, the Dallas City Council meets with a 1,736-page agenda which includes: the proposal to rename Ross Avenue as Cesar Chavez Avenue; a proposal on form-based zoning; and a vote on which hotel company will win the operator agreement for the Dallas Convention Center Hotel. Give Sheffie your thoughts.
Vote
In case you hadn't heard...
Tues., Nov. 4 could produce more voters than on any Election Day in U.S. history. If you have not already voted, crowds should be smallest mid-morning or mid-afternoon and be sure to flip your ballot over and vote on the Parkland Bond proposition. Here's Election Day precinct information.
