Liz Minyard and Paul Lokey have donated their nutcracker display to the Arboretum ... all just part of the Holiday at the Arboretum event going on through Dec. 31.
The Winter Show at the Bath House Cultural Center is a group exhibition by the artists who support DallasArtsRevue.com. It is free and open to all during regular business hours through January 3, 2009, although the center will be closed Christmas Eve till New Year's Day. Here's some good information.
The Ferguson Road Initiative celebrated its 10th Anniversary on September 26. The FRI is a nonprofit organization made up of neighborhoods, businesses, schools, churches, apartments, and others working together to make the White Rock Hills area a great place to live, work and play.
Repairs and improvements have started at White Rock Lake's Spillway. To fix damage from serious rains and to add parking, overlook and other amenities, the City project is expected to last into 2010. Follow the project online.
